FAQ
LibraryPalooza is "for middle and high school students." What does that mean?
Can adults come? Can elementary-aged students come?
LibraryPalooza is organized for middle & high school students to meet their favorite authors and have fun interacting with other readers. Although teens are our primary target audience, adults are welcome too. We just ask that adults keep our students in mind and afford teens the first opportunity for things such as sitting in the front row and asking questions during the breakout sessions.
Lynn Painter does write books for adults, but only her Young Adult books will be for sale at LibraryPalooza.
*Although open to all, LibraryPalooza is not intended for elementary aged children. We have an event, StoryFest, in May for our younger readers.
How do the breakout sessions work?
All six authors except for our special lunchtime speaker will present in their own room for each of the three breakout sessions. So for each breakout session time slot, you can choose any of the six featured authors you'd like to go hear individually.
I can't stay all day. Is that okay? Can I come late or leave early?
Yes! You do not have to stay all day. Feel free to leave early or arrive later. We just ask that you stay for the entirety of any session you do attend so as not to interrupt our speakers. We also highly recommend that you look at the schedule to see when sessions start and end and plan your day accordingly.
Does LibraryPalooza cost anything? Do I need to bring money?
LibraryPalooza is free. You may want to bring cash for optional purchases such as concessions, food trucks, t-shirts, or books. Concessions and t-shirts ONLY accept cash, and there is no ATM on site. Our Nowhere Bookshop pop-up store and the food trucks accept credit cards.

- If you want to purchase books or t-shirts, purchase early before titles and/or sizes sell out.
- If you are present for the opening panel, take note of your row and seat number for door prizes we draw at the end of the opening panel.
- Fill out the online survey starting at noon for your chance to win free (non-LibraryPalooza) books at 3:00pm.
- Take advantage of the free photo booth in the cafeteria 12-4pm.
